There are two quick points that I do not want to develop this afternoon, I run on St. Henry without elaborate, but that I have often thought in my life.
1 - It annoys me a bit, as a man, we're talking about some female authors as writers who have female writing, by dissociating and a feminist activist, more politicized. I think it digress, it puts me apart, as if I did not have access to the profound truth of the work. When I read Clarice Lispector, or Virginia Woolf, I do not want to constantly remind me not Helene Cixous and sisters I am only human.
2-I launched often joke with Will among others, it could be so good to write a literary history that is based exclusively on the authors, the writers, poets, novelists. No men, no need. Too bad, but it crosses my mind every time I read a novel written by a woman (my latest: SHIP OF FOOLS, by Katherine Anne Porter, 1962, so good, you can not even imagine, worse it's nothing compared to his new ...), and I find myself to be Flabbergast by the quality of writing and reading of intense happiness I feel. The influences are other women. Surely it exists already, but hey, it would start with the worse kind Madame de Stael it continues like this, with hundreds of great writers that I love. Ha! This is nonsense, but I like to think.
3-I know that it sounds contradictory, but ... not.
